NORTH SMITHFIELD- Clinton H. Lovell, Jr., 72, of Mount Pleasant Road, North Smithfield died Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at his home. He was the husband of the late Karen F. (Stieber) Lovell.
Born in Portland, OR, a son of the late Clinton H. and Vivian (Duncan) Lovell. He had lived in North Smithfield since 1968.
Mr Lovell was an Assistant Vice President of Underwriting with Amica Mutual Insurance Company, Lincoln for 25 years before retiring in 1994. He was Area Supervisor with Big Boy Family Restaurants (where he met his wife) and was owner of On-Target Services, a consulting firm.
Mr. Lovell was a nationally qualified expert high-power competition rifle shooter, a member and officer of the Wallum Lake Rod and Gun Club having served as Rifle Range officer and a life member of the National Rifle Association. He was an annual volunteer at NRA matches at Camp Perry, OH, an avid boating enthusiast and sport fisherman in RI and FL. He had recently began enjoying time staying in the FL Keys.
He leaves his sons, Kurt S. Lovell and his wife Pamela of Lodi, NJ and
Kole C. Lovell and his wife Deena of Harrisville. The funeral will be private. For online condolences visit
