WOONSOCKET Phillip E. Connolly, Sr., 75, of Seventh Ave., Woonsocket, died July 26, 2011 at Woonsocket Health Center surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Joanne (Rice) Connolly.
Born May 24, 1936 in Woonsocket, a son of the late Edward and Aldea (Picard) Connolly. He was a lifelong city resident. He was a US Air Force Veteran.
Phillip worked in the maintenance department for the former Dennison Manufacturing in Framingham and previously worked for the former Woonsocket Weaving and Lafond Weaving.
He is survived by three sons, Michael, Phillip Jr, and Mark Connolly; three daughters, Donna Fournier, Karen McGovern and Deborah Connolly; a brother, Donald Connolly; two sisters, Jeannette Milot and Mary Gardner; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A service will be held on Friday at 7:30 pm inside the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket. Burial with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday at 10 am in St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Calling hours are Friday from 5-8 pm.
