BURRILLVILLE- Wylie R. Betts, 88, resident of Nasonville died August 3, 2011 at his residence after a brief illness.
Husband of the late Catherine (Atwood) Betts.
Born on July 15, 1923 in Providence RI, a son of the late Wylie & Eleanor (O'Brien) Betts.
Wylie worked for the former Boliden Metch Co. in Mapleville. He was a WWII Army Air Corps veteran.
He is survived by his sister, Katherine Adams of Chepachet, nephews Stephen E. Adams of N. Scituate and Philip B. Adams of Warwick, caretaker and friend Debra McCoy of N. Smithfiled and his loving dog Faith.
A Committal Service along with military honors will be held Friday at 11am in Acotes Hill Cemetery in Chepachet RI. Calling hours are omitted. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home 1496 Victory Hwy. Oakland.
