Jerod W. Place

BURRILLVILLE- Jerod W. Place, 74, resident of Mapleville, died August 2, 2011 at Landmark Medical Center.
Born on September 4, 1936 in Chepachet RI, a son of the late Harold & Bertha (Gauvin) Place.
He worked for the Zambarano Hospital for twenty five years; previously he did construction and worked in area textile mills. He enjoyed fishing and going to the race track. He was US Navy of the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his daughter, Jerilyn Place of Chepachet, brother, Richard H. Place of CA, sisters, Jo-Ann Huguenin of NC, and Rolande Gagne of Harrisville, former wife Pamela (St. Amant) Place.
A private burial service with military honors was held in St. Patricks Cemetery, Harrisville. Arrangements were entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, 1496 Victory Hwy, Oakland. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Association of Northwestern RI, P.O. Box 355, Pascoag, RI 02859.
