Claire C. Millette

WOONSOCKET- Claire C. Millette, 78, of Flat St., Cumberland, formerly of Woonsocket, died Sunday at Trinity Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of Normand L. Millette and the late Gerald Aubin.
Born and raised in Manville, she was a daughter of the late Michel and Rosa (Pontbriand) Laprade. She was a resident of Woonsocket for over 45 years until moving to Cumberland in 1999.
Mrs. Millette was employed at the Cadillac Mills, Tupperware, AT Cross, and Koch Jewelry before her retirement.
Claire was a member of the Riverview Tenants Association and enjoyed playing cards and bingo.
Claire treasured her role as a grandmother and was thrilled to welcome new great-grandchildren into her family.
She is survived by four sons, Gerald M. Aubin, and Donna, of Norfolk, MA, Ronald P. Aubin, and Donna, of North Smithfield, Paul D. Aubin, and Yvette, of Woonsocket, and Marc L. Aubin, and Janis, of Blackstone, a daughter Denise M. Remillard, and Deacon Lionel L. Remillard, Jr., of Woonsocket. She was the sister of the late Paul, Rosario, Roger, Constant "Cy" Laprade, Simone Leclerc and Lorraine Voyer. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be Thursday at 9:00 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 71 Central St., Manville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. James Church, Division St., Manville. Burial in St. James Cemetery will be private. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4-8 pm.
