NO. SMITHFIELD- Raymond A. Lemoine, age 84 passed away on August 7, 2011 at home with his loving family at his side. He was a thirty year resident of No. Smithfield.
He was the eldest son of the late Woonsocket Patrolman Albert Lemoine, who died in the line of duty, and the late Aurore (Dussault) Lemoine.
He leaves his wife of sixty-three years, the former Lorraine T. Archambault from Bellingham, MA. He also leaves his three children, Jane-Marie, her husband Robert Gardner of Myrtle Beach, SC, Edward R. Lemoine, his wife Suzanne of Harrisville and Paul A. Lemoine of Woonsocket, seven grandchildren, Garret Gardner of San Diego, CA, Justine Lemoine of Charlestown, MA and Meghan, Kelly, Sean and Catherine Lemoine of Mendon, MA, a brother, Robert L. Lemoine of Forestdale and a sister, Angela Russo of Seekonk, MA. Mr. Lemoine was predeceased by his sister, Alice Stifter, who passed away eight weeks ago.
Raymond served in Navy during WWII. He worked for seven years at So. Bellingham Variety. He was employed for thirty-five years as a welder for Industrial Machine Co., Smithfield, retiring in 1985. He then moved to Venice, FL for twelve years. He was an avid coin collector. Raymond enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and being with his grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket. Calling hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Beacon Hospice, Inc, One Catamore Blvd., East Providence, RI 02914.
