WOONSOCKET- Marie Z. Gawrada, 88, of Church St., passed away at home.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Peter & Julia (Szczur) Gawrada. She resided in Woonsocket all her life. She attended Rhode Island College of Education, Providence College, and Brown University and taught in the city's public school system, primarily at Woonsocket Junior High School. She was a communicant of St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral will be Friday at 9:00 AM from the Kubaska Funeral Home, 35 Harris Ave., with a Requiem Mass of Devine Liturgy at 10:30 AM in St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Blackstone St., Woonsocket. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. A visitation hour will be Friday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM before the Funeral Mass.
