WILLIAMSPORT BOUND!

August 17, 2011

Gen White, of North Providence, grandmother of Cumberland American Little Leaguer Colin Cannata, waves her green pom-poms as she gathers with the team's family members at Garvin Field in Cumberland Wednesday morning before embarking on the trip to Williamsport, Pa. for the Little League World Series this weekend. The Cumberland team's new colors are green and white for the series, which begins Friday at 3:00 p.m. against California. Fifteen vehicles were given a police escort as they left early for Williamsport to make it in time for the Parade of Teams Wednesday night at 6.
