Norbert H. Hanks Sr.

WOONSOCKET- Norbert H. Hanks Sr., 87, of Waterview Apartments, died August 5, 2011, at a nursing home in Brookline, MA. He had previously lived in North Smithfield, RI for many years.
At his request, no service will be held.
Mr. Hanks was born July 26, 1924, in Providence, RI.
Mr. Hanks served in the United States Navy, during World War II as a Gunners Mate. He worked for several textile companies including Worcester Textile and Woonsocket Weaving. He was an avid bowler and served the community as a baseball coach for many years.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Lillian (Rouette) in 2005. His brothers Frank and Gilbert, and his sister Nora.
He is survived by his 5 children, Norbert Jr., Phillip, Allen, Robert and Donna.
