WOONSOCKET - Edward H. Fleury, 90, died Thursday, August 18, 2011 in the Woonsocket Health & Rehabilitation Centre. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Herve and Rena (Bergeron) Fleury.
He worked on a Rolling Table for the Quincy Dye Company. He was a veteran of the
US Army and served as a Steamadore during WWII.
He is survived by a son, Edward Fleury and his wife Dorothy of Woonsocket, one brother, Herve Fleury of Woonsocket, two sisters, Doris Bouley and Beatrice Glode of Woonsocket, three grandchildren, Jeremy, Rena and Vincent Fleury, three step-grandchildren, Nathan Landers, Meka and Keyla Hamilton, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. He was the brother of the late Normand, Leo and Theodore Fleury, Rita Gorman and Theresa Picard.
His funeral service and burial, with Military Honors, will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 12PM in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter. Calling hours are Tuesday prior to the service from 9 - 11AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket.
