Elda Ciffo

MANVILLE - Elda (Montanari) Ciffo, 94, of Sayles Hill Rd., a resident of the Holiday Nursing Home, formerly of Ashton Court, died Wednesday August 24, 2011, in Landmark Medical Center.
She was the wife of the late Evo (Red) Ciffo, who passed away in 1986.
Born in Buffalo, NY, daughter of the late Guglielmo and Quinta (Andreoni) Montanari.
She worked in various textile mills in the area, and also worked for Texas Instrument, in Attleboro, and Fontana's Flowers, prior to retiring.
She was a former member of the Ashton Court Club, and Marchigiano Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by one son, Gene D. Ciffo, of Vermont, two daughters, Elaine V. and husband Normand Gueron, of Pascoag, R.I., Elizabeth A. and husband Stephen McGale, of Connecticut. One sister Dora Volpina, of North Dartmouth, Ma. Seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was also the sister of the late Nello Montanari, and Minnie Paolini.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9 A.M. from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, R.I. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Anthony Church, Greene St. Woonsocket. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone, Ma. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are Friday from 4-8 P.M.
