WOONSOCKET - Mrs. Jessie Bourcier, 79, of Winter Street, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket.
Born in Biddeford, Maine, she was a resident of Woonsocket since the mid 1960s.
She was last employed at Providence Washington Insurance Company retiring in 1996.
She loved walks in the woods, canoeing and wild blueberry picking. In later years, she could often be spotted on her daily walks around the North End and Social districts.
She is survived by her one son Pastor Daniel Bourcier and his wife Lori of Mansfield, Ohio, and four daughters, Rose Zariczny and her husband William of Woonsocket, Deborah St. Onge and her husband Andre of Harrisville, RI, Maureen Bourcier of Woonsocket, Janette Ordway and her husband Ward of Massena, NY, nine grandchildren, Nicole (St. Onge) Duffy, Garret St. Onge, Jessica (Zariczny) Miranda, William J. Zariczny, Jonathan, Jordan and Summer Bourcier, Michael and Ryan Ordway and one great-granddaughter Leah Rose Zariczny. She was also the mother of the late Bernard Bourcier and grandmother of the late Chelsea Ordway.
A service will be held Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 12 pm in the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Avenue, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Woonsocket. Calling hours are prior to the service from 10am until12pm.
