WOONSOCKET - Bertha B. (Rivers) Laquerre 90, resident of Kennedy Manor, died September 1, 2011, died at home after an illness.
Beloved wife to the late Laurent Laquerre.
Born September 13, 1920 in Putnam CT, a daughter of the late William & Lena (Demars) Rivers.
Bertha worked in the yarn mills until retirement in 1985. A Woonsocket resident, previously she lived in Bellingham for fifty years. She loved family get togethers, playing bingo, going to Foxwoods, and going out to eat. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her loving family, daughters, Theresa Desplechin, Rachel Gosselin, and Joyce Boxold, son, Richard and his wife Mary Gosselin, 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter, and brother Albert Rivers.
She was preceded in death by her son Gerard Gosselin, brother, Wilfred Rivers and sisters Florena Rosati, Irene Deslauriers, Agnes Bodnar, and Louise Lemoine.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10am in All Saints Church in Woonsocket. Burial will be held at 10am Monday in St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Arrangements are entrusted to the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home 75 Harris Ave. Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers please make donations to RI Hospice.
