WOONSOCKET- Cecile (Godbout) Richards, 77, of Diamond Hill Rd., passed away Monday, September 5, 2011 in Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of Thomas D. Richards, III.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late William and Aurore (Curtis) Godbout.
Prior to retiring in 1996, Mrs. Richards worked as a molder for Polytop Corporation, No. Smithfield. She also worked at Tupperware Corporation for many years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, bingo, going to yard sales and spending time with family.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Eric Richards of Swansea, MA, three daughters, Kelly Fontaine of No. Smithfield, April Yuszczak of Burrillville and Kimberly Limoges of Woonsocket, three sisters, Jeannette Godbout and Claire Fennessy of St. Petersburg, FL and Doris Kingston of New Port Ritchie, FL and ten grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her three brothers Edmund, Leo and William Godbout and her sister, Annette Hopkins.
Her funeral service will be held Monday, September 12, 2011 at 7PM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. Calling hours are Monday from 6- 7PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation, One Wellington Road, Lincoln, RI 02865.
