NO. SMITHFIELD- Rudolph S. "Rudy" Okoniewski Jr., 64, of Providence Pike passed away on Sunday at The Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island in Providence. He was the loving husband of Patricia (Oakley) Ducharme-Okoniewski.
Born October 23, 1946, in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Rudolph & Ida (Valentino) Okoniewski, he resided in No. Smithfield almost all of his life. Before retiring and for many years, he was the proprietor of Rudy's Services Station in Millville, MA.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. At one time his favorite pastime was flying.
Besides his wife he leaves a sister Betty Ann Phillips of Cambridge, ME. 2 Stepsons Jeff Ducharme of Whitinsville, MA and Keith Ducharme of Millville, MA. Also 4 Step Grandchildren.
His funeral will be Thursday (Sept. 22) at 9:30 A.M. from Kubaska Funeral Home, 35 Harris Ave., Woonsocket with a service at 10:30 A.M. in the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter. Relatives & Friends are invited. Visitation hours will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
