WOONSOCKET- Florence L. (Giard) Courchesne 98, died Tuesday at Trinity Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late George J. Courchesne who died in December 1996.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Zotique and Leona (Picard) Giard.
Florence is survived by her daughter Suzanne Le and her husband Vinh of Woonsocket, granddaughters Sylvie and Celeste Le, sisters-in-law Estelle Giard of Woonsocket and Marie Anne Courchesne who was also her roommate for the past two years, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Raymond and Lionel Giard.
Florence, nicknamed "Cookie" by her Trinity family, lived at the former Mt. St. Francis Health Center for the past 9 years and was loved by many. She was a former member of the Kennedy Manor Social Club.
Funeral arrangements under the direction of the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home are private.
