Mary A. Lesperance Smith

HARRISVILLE - Mary A. (Archambault) Lesperance Smith, 57, of Chapel St, died Sat. Sept. 24, at Lydia Taft House in Uxbridge, surrounded by her loving family. Her first husband Michael E. Lesperance died in 1994.
She is survived by her husband Gerard S. Smith; 2 children Jeffery Lesperance and his wife Monica of Silver Springs, Maryland; Heather Lesperance and her fianc Joe Thurber of Bradenton, FL; 2 granddaughters Norah and Leah Lesperance; her mother Rita H. (Simonini) Archambault of Uxbridge; 2 brothers Mark Archambault of Spencer and Rene Archambault of Narragansett, R.I.; 2 sisters Karen Chamberland of Uxbridge and Jane Burch of Douglas; sister in law Pamela Lesperance with whom she lived and several nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Born in Woonsocket, R.I. on June 23, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Leo Archambault and has lived in Harrisville, R.I since 1980 previously living in Uxbridge. Mary attended Uxbridge Public Schools and graduated from Uxbridge High School in 1972. She was a Retail Store Manager for many area stores including TJX Corp., The Fair, CVS and Dollar Tree. Mary enjoyed reading, cruising, knitting, crocheting and loved spending time with her family.
Her funeral will be held Thur., Sept. 29 from Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Good Shepherd Church, 121 Linwood St., Linwood. Burial will follow in St Marys Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Wed., Sept. 28 from 5 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Mary's memory may be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd 121 Linwood St. - PO Box 517, Linwood, MA 01525.
