WOONSOCKET - Florence (Houle) Boisvert, 93, of Woonsocket, died Friday, September 23, 2011 in the St. Antoine Residence, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Alphonse Boisvert.
Born in Upton, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Herve and Opalma (Fontaine) Houle. She lived in Woonsocket for most of her life.
Florence was an inspector for ten years at the former Electronic Molding Corporation, until her retirement in 1988 and had previously been a dietary aide for 8 years at Fogarty Memorial Hospital and also had worked in many of the factories in Woonsocket and surrounding areas. She was a member of St. Agatha's Church. Florence enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, puzzle making, cooking and sewing.
Florence is survived by five sons, Charles Boisvert of Woonsocket, George Boisvert of Glocester, Richard Boisvert of Tacoma, WA, Roland Boisvert of Woonsocket and Ronald Boisvert of Phoenix, AZ, three daughters, Lucille Dalton of Cumberland, Muriel Mis of Englewood, FL and Pauline Beaudreault of Cumberland, two brothers, Albert Houle of Mapleville and Roger Houle of Woonsocket, three sisters, Theresa Chartier of Woonsocket, Loretta Plante of North Smithfield, and Lillian Lavioe of Bristol, CT, nineteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred, Robert and Lionel Houle, a sister Pamela Leduc and her grandson, Jeffrey Boisvert.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 9AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Agatha's Church, 34 Joffre Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Wrentham Road, Bellingham, MA. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4PM until 7PM.
