WOONSOCKET- Kachadoor Charles Haroian 78, formerly of Woonsocket, died Tuesday at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. He was the husband of Therese H. (Girard) Haroian.
Born in Auburn, MA he was the son of the late Harry and Seranoush (Harootian) Haroian. Charles was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a fork lift operator for the Peterson Puritan Aerosol Co. for several years. Charles also worked as a barber for several years. He was a former member of the DAV.
Charles is survived by four daughters Susan Letendre of Harrisville, Denise Tevay of Ansonia, CT, Jane Haroian of Chepachet, and Joan Gibbons of Coventry, fifteen grandchildren , and ten great- grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Margaret Owanesian.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial with Military Honors will be held in the RI Veteran Cemetery in Exeter. Visiting hours are Monday 4-7 PM. Please visit
