LINCOLN- Lionel T. Tyks, 79, of Kennedy Blvd. passed away on Friday at Rhode Island Hospital, He was the loving husband of Elizabeth (Asaka) Tyks.
Born Sept. 15, 1932 in Blackstone, MA.
He was the son of the late Louis J. & Marie A. (Cormier) Tyks. Lionel was employed as a computer scheduler for the Amica Insurance Co. in Lincoln for over 30 years retiring in 1993. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. An avid musician, he played the clarinet & saxophone.
Besides his wife he leaves 2 Brothers. Charles & Delmore Tyks and a sister Virginia Tyks all of Blackstone, MA.
His Funeral will be Tuesday, Oct. 4th, at 9:30 A.M. from the Kubaska Funeral Home, 35 Harris Ave. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. in St. Paul's Church, St. Paul St. Blackstone, MA. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Relatives & Friends are invited. A visitation hour will be Tuesday morning from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. before the Funeral Mass. Please omit flowers, donations in Lionel's memory can be made to your favorite charity.
