NORTH SMITHFIELD- Roger W. Thibault, 82, of North Smithfield, RI died October 11, 2011 in St. Antoines Residence, North Smithfield, RI. He was the husband of Rita (Lemire) Thibault and the late Cecile Thibault.
He was born in Blackstone, MA son of the late Wilfred and Daleda (Pelletier) Thibault.
Mr. Thibault was a graduate of Blackstone High School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in Korea. Before going into the service, he worked for his father at Pete's Market, Canal St., Blackstone, MA. After the service Roger opened a bakery on Bridgett St., Blackstone, MA. He then went to work for Eagerman's Bakery and Wonderbread. He was the Chairman for the Blackstone Board of Health and was active in town politics. He was also Past Master of the Mongomery Lodge of Masons.
Mr. Thibault is survived by one son; Ronald Thibault and his wife Sharon of Blackstone, MA; two daughters: Dianne Doyan and her husband Robert of Blackstone, MA; Laurie Ann Hayes of Smithfield, RI; 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and one sister: Helene Budinski of Wisconson. He was predeceased by one brother Aldese Thibault.
His funeral will be held at 9:00 am Friday, October 14, 2011 from the James E. Kellett and Son Funeral Home, 38 Main St., Blackstone, MA followed by a mass at 10:00 am in St. Paul's Church, St. Paul's St., Blackstone, MA. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery, Blackstone, MA.
