BURRILLVILLE- Debra L. Stockwell-Cavanaugh, 47, of Harrisville, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2011 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of Michael Cavanaugh.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Lydia (Thomas) Stockwell of Harrisville and the late Myron Stockwell.
Debra worked as the Head of Facilities at Zambarano Hospital for 29 years. She was the Chairwoman of the Burrillville School Committee, held many positions with the Democratic town party and was involved in the RI Emergency Management Service.
Besides her mother and husband, she is survived by a son, Andrew Larson of Harrisville, and three brothers, Jeffry and Kevin Stockwell of Pascoag and Myron Stockwell of Lagrange, ME. She was the sister of the late Mary Stockwell.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, Oct.15, 2011 at 10 am from the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave. Pascoag. Burial will follow in Pascoag Cemetery, Main St. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Andrew Larson Scholarship Fund, 6 Sandy Lane, Harrisville, RI 02830.
