BLACKSTONE- Francis J. Collin, 76, of Blackstone, MA died Saturday, October 15, 2011 in Beaumont Nursing Home, Northbridge, MA. He was the husband of Evelyn (Crisafulli) Collin.
He was born in Woonsocket, RI, son of the late Fillmore and Dora (St. George) Collin.
Mr. Collin was a U.S. Army Veteran and then worked as a Deli Manager for the former Almacs in Blackstone, MA. He was also a member of St. Vincent DePaul.
Besides his wife, Mr. Collin is survived by two sons: Michael Collin of Boston, MA; Jeffrey Collin and his wife Kara of Needham, MA; two daughters: Patricia VanderBurg and her husband Wayne of Northbridge, MA; Anne Marie Voisinet and her husband Robert of Coventry, RI; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and one brother: Roger Collin of Falmouth, MA. He was predeceased by siblings Firmin Collin, Raymond Collin, Leo Collin, Dora Bartlett and Loretta Holwell.
Mr. Collins funeral will be held at 9:00 am Wednesday, October 19, 2011 from the James E. Kellett and Son Funeral Home, 38 Main St., Blackstone, MA followed by a mass at 10:00am in St. Paul's Church, St. Paul's St., Blackstone, MA. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery, Gaskell St., Blackstone, MA.
Calling hours are Tuesday, October 19, 2011 from 5:00-7:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Collins memory to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
