WOONSOCKET- Blanchet, Eugene R. Jr, age 89, passed away on October 20, 2011 at Hebert Nursing Home with his family by his side.
He was the beloved husband of Clemence (Paquin) Blanchet
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Eugene and Marie (Blais) Blanchet.
Before retirement, Mr. Blanchet was employed as a watch maker, and was a self employed Realtor. He was a WWII army veteran, a member of Knights of Columbus and an active supporter of Collings Foundation of Stow, MA. He was also a loving and caring person who was devoted to his family.
Besides his wife of over 65 years, he leaves his children, John and his wife Debra, Donald and his wife Laura, Eugene ,III and his wife Carolyn, Roger and his wife Carol. He was the brother of 12. He was the grandfather of Holly, Sandra, Timothy, Leah, Stephanie and Mathieu, and the great- grandfather of Brandon, Miley, Colbrin, Rya, Anthony and Samantha.
His funeral with visitation will be held on MONDAY at 9 am, from the RUSSELL J. BOYLE & SON Funeral Home 331 Smith St., PROVIDENCE, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Patrick Church Smith St. Providence. Interment with military honors will follow in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
