UXBRIDGE- Benjamin A. Mikulsky, 92, of Uxbridge passed away Fri. Oct. 21, 2011 at home. He was the husband of 63 years to Doris C. (Leduc) Mikulsky who died in 2010.
He was born in Malden on March 31, 1919 the son of the late John and Nellie (Humunski) Mikulsky.
A longtime resident of Uxbridge, Mr. Mikulsky had been employed at General Motors in Framingham for 16 years, prior to retiring. He had previously worked at the former Whitin Machine Works for 25 years. He also owned and operated his own cemetery monument engraving company. He loved time spent with family and enjoyed fishing and boating. He had built his first boat at age 16, and by age 40, he built a twenty-one foot Cabin Cruiser from drawings from a Popular Mechanics magazine.
He is survived by two daughters Priscilla L. Mikulsky Gray of Arnold, MD and Tammy A. and her husband David Helstrom of Douglas; a sister Mary White of Arlington, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son Marc Mikulsky, his former wife Luella B. (Bedard) Mikulsky, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
Funeral services will be held Sat. October 29, 2011 at 11 AM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 N. Main St., Rte. 122, Uxbridge, MA 01569. Visiting hours will be Sat. from 10 11 AM prior to the service. Memorials to the charity of ones choice.
