BLACKSTONE- Bernardette Plasse, 94, of Blackstone, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Landmark Medical Center with family by her side. Born in Woonsocket, RI on May 1, 1917, she was the beloved daughter of the late Napoleon and Lea (Girard) Plasse and the loving sister of Rita E. Menard of Blackstone and the late Aldor, Theodore, Roland, Leonard, Napoleon, Joseph and Mary Jane Plasse, Florence Guilmette and Violet Hogue. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Miss Plasse was a resident of Blackstone over 90 years formerly of Woonsocket. She had worked at US Rubber in Woonsocket for 23 years and also had worked in private homes. She was a communicant of St. Theresa's Church, Blackstone and was a member of the Ladies of St. Ann of St. Theresa Church.
Funeral will be held on Monday, October 31, at 8:30AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. Theresa's Church, 630 Rathbun St., Blackstone, MA. Interment will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery, Woonsocket. Visiting hour Monday from 8:30 to 9:30AM at the funeral home prior to Mass. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. To sign guest book visit
