Pauline Ida Lessard
WOONSOCKET- Pauline Ida (Brouillard) Lessard, 90, of Bradford Street, died Saturday, October 29, 2011, at the Oakland Grove Health Care Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late George C. Lessard.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Ida (Valois) Brouillard.
Mrs. Lessard was a private piano teacher and received her degree in 1938 from the Dominion College of Music in Montreal. A communicant of Holy Family church, she was a member of the Trinity Club, Y Wives and the Aprs-Midi Club.
She is survived by her daughter and three sons, Paulette Tarmey and her husband, Robert, and George A. Lessard, both of Woonsocket, Paul L. Lessard and his wife, Cynthia, of Coventry, and Marc R. Lessard and his wife, Jo-Ann, of North Smithfield, twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Louis Brouillard and Therese Pouliot-Froment. Her family will lovingly remember the breakfasts she hosted for her children and their families nearly every Sunday morning for almost fifty years.
Her funeral, beginning with visitation at 8:30 A.M., will be held Friday, November 4, 2011, at the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M., Holy Family Church, 414 So. Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery, Rathbun St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Ann Arts & Cultural Center, PO Box 79, Woonsocket, RI 02895 or www.stannartsctr.org.
