Teresa Elena Dalpe
BELLINGHAM- Teresa Elena (Tedeschi) Dalpe, 82, of Bellingham, MA passed away after a short illness on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 60 years to Florent M. "Teke" Dalpe who she married on November 23, 1950 at St. Mary's Church, Providence, RI.
Born in Providence, RI on April 9, 1929, she was the daughter of the late John Tedeschi and Anna (Tagliaferri) Tedeschi Aidjan.
She was the loving mother of Cheryl-Ann Dulac and her husband Raymond of Douglas, MA, Robert M. Dalpe of North Smithfield, RI, Ann-Marie T. Corriveau and her husband Joseph E. Corriveau, Jr. of Bellingham, MA and the late Paul R. Dalpe deceased on November 11, 1977. She was Nana to her cherished grandchildren Shawn D. King and his partner Jason Wooton of Lynn, MA, Eric D. King and his wife Marlene of Sutton, MA, Paul F., Peter J., and Katrina E. Corriveau all of Bellingham, MA, and the late Tracy-Ann King; her great-grandchildren Brianna M., Bethany A. and Anthony M. King all of Sutton, MA. She was the sister of Rose Travasano of Springfield, MA, Elena Silvestri and her husband Reno of Warwick, RI, John Tedeschi and wife Dayle of Rotonda West, FL, and the late Gilda Vitale. She also leaves her beloved cat Kristina.
A graduate of Providence High School and the Angello School of Hair Dressing and worked as a hairdresser for many years, retiring in 1985. Her activities and life enjoyments included her family and children which she always had a smile, hug and kiss for, trips to Foxwoods and Lincoln-slot machines always made her smile, traveling especially cruises, playing cards with friends, ceramics with her sister Elena, and bowling on several bowling leagues. She was a long time member of the USJB and current President of Catholic Family Life. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, November 5, at 9:30AM from CARTIER' S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM in St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd., Woonsocket, RI. Interment will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are on Friday, November 4, from 4 to 8PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
