HARRISVILLE- Raymond Lucien Ferrio, 66, of Harrisville, died Saturday, November 5, 2011 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He leaves his wife of 35 years, Jo-Ann A. (Cote) Ferrio of Harrisville.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Joseph and Cecile (Beauchesne) Ferrio.
Mr. Ferrio was a welder at General Motors for 30 years, retiring in 2001. He was an U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.
Besides his wife, Mr. Ferrio leaves three sons, Michael A. Ferrio of Chelmsford, MA, Gary J. Ferrio and his wife Annette of Providence and Eric C. Cote of Sterling, CT; a daughter, Krista Olsen of Brooklyn, NY; a sister, Barbara Berlandi of Penacook, NH; a granddaughter, Kaylin Ferrio; several nephews and nieces.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 9AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in Holy Family Church, 414 So. Main St., Woonsocket. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, West Wrentham Rd., Cumberland. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 - 7PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 260 West Exchange Street, Suite 102B Providence, RI 02903or to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
