Stephen "Larry" Wood
MILLVILLE, MA- Stephen "Larry" Wood, 59, of Millville and formerly of Milford died Thursday afternoon (November 3, 2011) at his home after a short illness. He was the husband of Kristin C. (Carlson) Wood.
He was born in Boston the son of the late Stephen L. and the late Maree T. (Flanigan) Wood and lived in Milford before moving to Millville 24 years ago.
Mr. Wood attended the former St. Marys Grammar schools in Milford and graduated from Milford High School in 1972. He later graduated from the Coyne Electrical Technical School in Boston. For the past 8 years, Stephen owned and operated Wood Electric. Prior to that, he had been employed as en electrical superintendent in the power industry.
In addition to his wife of 26 years, Stephen leaves two daughters, Leanna Vera Wood of Washington, D.C. and Katherine Carlson Wood of Millville; three sisters, Celine T. Wood, Marilyn L. Kinder, and Elaine M. Eden all of Milford; several cousins; nieces and nephews.
Stephen was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. Never at a loss for words, he could be found sharing his opinions on the state of the economy, the recent weather patterns, or the future of the Boston Red Sox. He was respected, admired, and loved by all who knew him. His larger than life presence will be missed.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend his Memorial Mass on Saturday morning (November 12) at 10AM in St. Mary of the Assumption Church 19 Winter Street Milford, MA. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery on Cedar Street (Rte. 85.) Milford, MA.
