WOONSOCKET- Madeleine M. "Maggie" Chicoine, 69, of West School St. died peacefully on Sunday after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late William and Edna (Gouin) Dumas.
Maggie was the President of Magbea Realty Co. for over thirty years, she also worked at Fleet Bank and later Bank of America.
She is survived by her son, Eric Chicoine and his wife Sarah of Westford, MA, daughter, Annette DiGianfilippo and her husband Stephen of East Greenwich, she was also the mother of the late Stephanie Chicoine. She also leaves a brother, George Dumas of Woonsocket, five sisters Lorraine Laperle, Rena Ethier, and Leona Lariviere all of Woonsocket, Beatrice Paul of Boynton Beach, FL, and Pauline Connor of Cumberland, and two grandchildren, Bradley DeWalt, and Stephanie Madeleine DiGianfilippo. She was the sister of the late William, Albert, Ralph, Raymond, Frank, and Edna Dumas.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM, from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute,
