UXBRIDGE- Constance M. (Langelier) Beane, 88, formerly of Hecla St. died Wed. Nov. 23 after an illness. Her husband of 50 years William E. Beane Sr. died April 27, 1997.
She is survived by 2 sons William E. Beane Jr. of Whitinsville, and Peter M. Beane of Putnam, CT; 6 daughters Constance M. Wiersma of Uxbridge, Eileen A. Gresian of Douglas, Alice M. Gillis of Uxbridge, Mary Jane Corral of Fontana, CA, Patricia Ordway of Uxbridge, and Karen S. Beane of Uxbridge; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother Roger Langelier of N. Smithfield; 3 sisters Doris Bligh of Woonsocket, Helen O'Brien and Janet Sweck both of N. Smithfield; and many nephews and nieces. She was sister of the late Normand Langelier who died earlier this month.
Born in N. Smithfield RI on Jan. 7, 1923, she was the daughter of Henry and Alice (Brodeur) Langelier and lived in Uxbridge 60 years.
Mrs. Beane was primarily a homemaker, caring for her husband and children over the years. She worked at General Electric in Ashland however, for 18 years, retiring in 1983 to Indiantown FL with her husband. There she enjoyed golfing with her husband and volunteering at her church. She was also an active longtime member of St. Mary's Church in Uxbridge. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and worked at the Rectory as a cook for the Priests. She loved the beach and swimming and being around family and friends.
Her funeral will be held Mon. Nov. 28 from Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd. with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 71 Mendon St. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Sun. Nov. 27 from 3 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Connie's memory to the Alzheimer's Assn. Box 96011, Washington DC 20090-6011 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
