BELLINGHAM, MA - Mary A. (Kupnicki) Leveille, 103, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 28, 2011 at The Ballou Home in Woonsocket. She was the beloved wife of the late Earl R. Leveille.
Born in Woonsocket on June 25, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Karoline (Struzik) Kupnicki. She was the loving mother of Sr. Shirley A. Leveille, RJM of Plainville, MA, the late Lloyd J. Leveille and Janice Leveille. She leaves her cherished granddaughter Jennifer A. Dulac and her husband David of Bellingham and two great-grandsons Andrew D. and Nicholas E. Dulac. She was the sister of Stephany Rousseau of Woonsocket and the late Michael, John, and Joseph Kupnicki and Edwilda Asselin. She also leaves her nephew Thomas Asselin and his wife, Willene and their daughter, Alison of Atlanta, GA.
Mrs. Leveille was a lifelong resident of Bellingham and had worked as a cashier at Warwick Shoppers World, and was a waitress at the Lenox Restaurant and the Cottage Club all in Bellingham. She began working at the age of 14 at area mills. She was a communicant of the former Assumption Church and member of the Ladies of St. Ann of Assumption Church. She was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing, traveling and was a member of the Royal Travelers. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Thursday, December 1, at 9:00AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 190 No. Main St., Woonsocket, RI. Interment will follow at Precious Blood Cemetery, Woonsocket. Visiting hours are on Wednesday, November 30, from 4 to 7 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
