Barbara Lee LaRose

December 6, 2011

BURRILLVILLE - Barbara Lee "Bobbie" LaRose, 56, of Burrillville, RI, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI.
She was born Wednesday, June 8, 1955 in Minneapolis, MN, daughter of Robert and Patricia (Bowen) Krebs.
Bobbie was ill for a long time, but she didn't let her illness stand in her way of living life. In 1977, Bobbie had married her high school sweetheart, Dana, and together they had a beautiful daughter, Dana Patricia LaRose.
In 1985, Bobbie worked for F & A Awning in North Smithfield, where she was a graphic artist for 10 years until her illness took over in 1995, and she was forced into early retirement.
When she was younger, Bobbie loved spending time on Lake Michigan and cherishing the time that she was able to spend with her family as she got older. Despite her debilitating disease, Bobbie was known for her acts of selflessness, as she would always put others ahead of her own needs.
Bobbie is survived by her loving and caring husband of 34 years, Dana and their daughter Dana, both of Harrisville; mother Patricia (Bowen) Krebs and brother Michael Krebs, both of Cumberland; sister Tracey Forch and her husband Steven of Akron, OH; many nieces and nephews, including 1 great niece and 1 great nephew.
She was preceded in death by her father Robert Krebs.
A funeral service will be held in the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Road, North Smithfield on Thursday, December 8 at 11 AM. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 7 from 5-8PM.
