Roland Robert Trudeau, Sr.
WOONSOCKET- Roland Robert Trudeau, Sr., 73, of Woonsocket, died Monday, December 12, 2011 in the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Edward and Aurore (Bergeron) (Benoit) Trudeau.
Roland was a grounds keeper at Barry Field in North Smithfield, did maintenance for the Woonsocket Education Department and was previously a machinist for North Attleborough Tap, and Whitinsville machine shops. He enjoyed bird watching and coin collecting.
He is survived by two sons, Roland Trudeau, Jr., and Andrew Trudeau, both of Woonsocket and two brothers, George Benoit, of Woonsocket and Raymond Benoit, of Vancouver Washington. He was predeceased by his sisters, Jeannette Edwards Cecile Holmes, Eva Benoit, and brother Armand Trudeau.
His funeral will be held Friday, December 16, 2011 with a service at 10AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery, Farm Street, Blackstone, MA. Calling hours are Thursday from 6-9 PM in the funeral home.
