PAWTUCKET- Robitaille, Marie L. "Bertha", 95, died on Saturday at her home in Pawtucket. She was the wife of the late Joseph H. Robitaille.
Born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Alcidas and Emilia (LaRose) Girard, she had been a resident of Pawtucket for several years. Prior to retirement in 1978 she had been employed as a textile worker with the former Bonin Spinning Company. She was an avid bowler with the Walnut Hill Bowling group and a devoted Red Sox fan.
Survivors are one son, Roger Robitaille of Sale Creek, TN and her caregivers: Therese and Walter and Jennifer Wojcik all of Pawtucket and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Roland Girard of Woonsocket and Edward Girard of CA.
The funeral will be held on Friday at 11:30 AM in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket, followed by burial in Precious Blood Cemetery, Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to: Memorial Hospital Home Care, 111 Brewster Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860 or to Beacon Hospice, 1 Catamore Boulevard, East Providence, RI 02914 would be appreciated.
