BURRILLVILLE- Peter L. Tariela, 83, formerly of Narragansett, RI died Wednesday, December 14, 2011 in Bayberry Commons, Burrillville.
Born in North Brookfield, MA, he was the son of the late Peter L. and Mabel (Sargentelli) Tariela, Sr.
He worked twenty-five years for the Raytheon Company, retiring as a Quality Inspector. A WWII Army Air Force Sergeant Veteran, he was a pilot who enjoyed his time flying, playing his guitar and painting.
He is survived by two sons, Peter Tariela of Pascoag and Michael Tariela of Johnston, a stepson, Timothy Fitzgerald of No. Smithfield, three daughters, Maryann Beaulieu of Woonsocket, Kathyann Smith of Harrisville and Joann Hamel of Blackstone, MA, a stepdaughter, Dawn Miller of Attleboro, MA, thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Robert Tariela.
His funeral service will be held Monday, December 19, 2011 at 10AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, RI. Calling hours are Sunday from 3 - 6PM.
