CUMBERLAND- Charles W. Godlewski 67, passed away Monday December 19, 2011 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket.
Born in Central Falls he was the beloved son of the late Charles F. and Helen A. (Bobola) Godlewski.
Charlie's greatest joy in life was his yearly overnight stay at Foxwoods for his birthday. He also enjoyed taking part in the Special Olympics and bowling. But most of all he loved going to his workshop at Homestead (now Seven Hills). He was also a member of Northern RI ARC of Pawtucket before moving to Cumberland.
Charlie leaves his loving sister Leona C. (Godlewski) Zuba and her husband Robert E. Mowry Sr. of North Smithfield, two nephews Stanley C. Zuba of North Smithfield and Michael S. Zuba of Burrillville, also several grand nephews, nieces and cousins.
He also leaves his second family Nancy, Rose, and Jennifer along with the caring and devoted staff at his home. A sincere thank you to all of you for taking care of our Charlie.
His funeral will be held Wednesday December 21, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home 342 High Street Central Falls with a Prayer Service in the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend and may call at the Funeral Home Wednesday morning. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
