Lester T. Hoard Jr.

WOONSOCKET- Lester T. Hoard Jr. 84, of Cass Ave. died Sunday at the Philip Hulitar Center. He was the husband of the late Rita (Demers) Hoard.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Lester T. and Laura (Dartt) Hoard Sr.
Lester worked as a clerk for the former Almac's Supermarket for forty six years before retiring in 1989. He was a WWII Army Veteran. Lester enjoyed his trips to Twin Rivers, scratching lottery tickets, and having breakfast in the cafeteria at Landmark Medical Center.
He is survived by one son, Donald Hoard and his wife Rachel of Woonsocket, five grandchildren, Christopher Hoard and his wife Tonya, Timothy Hoard and his wife Adrianna, Mathew and his wife Kim, Anissa Hoard and Amanda Clarke and her husband Doug, four great -grandchildren, Emilia, Lucas, Colton, and Reese, and his companion Tori Ethier and her son Christopher. He was also the brother of the late Gardner Hoard and Edith E Hoard.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday 4-7 PM at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. In lieu of flowers, donations to Home and Hospice of Rhode Island, 1085 North Main St. Providence, RI 02904, in his memory would be appreciated. Please visit
