WOONSOCKET- Muriel G. (Daigle) Moniz, 52, of Woonsocket passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Landmark Medical Center with her loving family by her side.
She was the loving mother of Crystal Ann Moniz of Providence and the fiance of William F. Small.
Born in Woonsocket on January 10, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Roland A. and Helen (Drainville) Daigle.
She was the sister of Marcel R. Daigle and his wife Claire of Cumberland, Shirley Lavoie, Germaine Yanski and her husband Richard, Rena Whitlock, and Rita Ouimette and her husband Scott, all of Woonsocket. She also leaves many nieces and nephews; and her two late nephews Richard and Joseph Yanski and her late great-niece Ashley Ann Miranda.
Muriel was a resident of Woonsocket and Cumberland where she was raised and attended school and she had worked at the Narragansett Knitting Mill. She was a communicant of St. John Vianney Church. Muriel was devoted to her family and enjoyed her weekly family card games, family trips to Canada and playing bingo. She will be greatly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John Vianney Church, Cumberland, RI. Interment will follow in the family lot at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham, MA. Arrangements are private
under the direction of Cartier's Funeral Home, Bellingham, MA.
