BLACKSTONE- Elizabeth M. (Battite) Spellman, 60, of Blackstone, MA passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 25, 2011 at home with her loving family by her side. She leaves her beloved significant other Gilbert P. Belisle, Jr.
Born in Boston, MA on November 13, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Erminia (Forgionie) Battite.
She was the loving mother of David J. Spellman, Jr. of Ashland, MA, Anthony J. Spellman and his wife Robyn of Blackstone, MA, Denise M. Lauzon and her husband Terrence of Oxford, MA, Danielle M. Spellman and her husband Eric Dangelo of Blackstone, MA, and her step-daughter Katie Lauzon of Worcester, MA; and her cherished 9 grandchildren Adam, Jennifer, Cameron, Zachary, Brenna, Bethanie, Antonia, Alex and Lilly, and her great-granddaughter Sophia. She was the sister of John D. Battite and his wife Maria of Woonsocket, RI and the late Joseph Battite and Julie Bean.
A resident of Blackstone formerly of Franklin, Elizabeth was well established in the Fire Sprinkler Industry, the owner and CEO of Fire Inspectional Service Inc. of Bellingham for many years. She enjoyed arts, crafts and many weekends at Cape Cod. She was the matriarch of a very large family and will be deeply missed.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, December 31st at 9:00AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Paul's Church, 48 St. Paul Street, Blackstone, MA. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Upton, MA.
