WOONSOCKET- Marcel H. Cousineau 85, of Winthrop St. and Davenport, FL died December 18, 2011 in Florida. He was the husband of Rita (Roy) Beauparlant Cousineau and the late Theresa (Fagnant) Cousineau.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Fortunat and Marie (Godin) Cousineau.
Mr. Cousineau was a WWII Navy Veteran having served as a Seabee. He was a heavy equipment operator for Campanelli and Cardi Construction companies for many years. He retired in 1988 from CVS Warehouse after twelve years in shipping and receiving. He was a member of the VFW in Forestdale and the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 57.
Besides his wife he is survived by a son James Cousineau of Woonsocket, two stepsons, Eugene Beauparlant of Woonsocket and Robert Beauparlant of Foster, five step daughters Pauline Aubin of Fort Pierce, FL, Cecile Fisette of Coventry, Elaine Morrow of Lorton, VA, Doris Methot of Woonsocket and Annette Fagnant of Foster, three brothers Gerard Cousineau of ME and Leo and Robert Cousineau both of Woonsocket, a sister Jeanne Pascucci of Holliston, MA thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Denise Rousseau and Jackie Ciucci.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 30, 2011 at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers donations to Give Kids The World, 210 South Bass Rd.
