WOONSOCKET - Richard G. Carignan, 69, a longtime resident of Hanora Lippitt Manor passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011 in Overlook Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Pascoag.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Valmore M. and Evelyn (Guyette) Carignan.
He is survived by his sister, Diane F. Moran and her husband James of Pascoag, his niece, Elizabeth Moran of Tucson, AZ and two nephews, Thomas Moran and his wife Shelly of Upton, MA and Stephen Moran of Williamsburg, VA. He will be remembered for his kind heart and wonderful smile.
Richard's calling hours will be held Saturday, December 31, 2011 from 2 - 4PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. All other services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, 200 Niantic Ave., Providence, RI 02907.
