WOONSOCKET- John H. "Jack" Jasmin, 60, of Woonsocket, died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with Cancer. He was the husband of Pamela J. (Fortney) Jasmin.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late William H. and Catherine T. (O'Gara) Jasmin.
He worked as a Forklift Operator for BJ's Wholesale Club, Inc. in Uxbridge, MA for 16 years. He was an avid New England sports fan, especially the Boston Bruins & New England Patriots, loved the outdoors and gardening.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his brother, William Jasmin and his wife Lucille Bradley-Jasmin of Woonsocket, his sister, Kathleen Jasmin of Woonsocket, his nephew, Christopher Jasmin of Burriville, his niece, Lauren Peloquin of Burriville, his stepson, Charles Casdorph of Largo, FL and two stepdaughters, Kerri Kostic and her husband John of Napoleon, OH and Kelli Vollmar and her husband Tyler of Napoleon, OH.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 7 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. Calling hours are Wednesday from 5 - 7 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Northern Rhode Island Hematology/Oncology Program, 115 Cass Ave., Suite 2, Woonsocket, RI 02895.
