Arthur J. Houle

BURRILLVILLE- Arthur J. Houle, 89, died Saturday Jan. 7, 2012 in Overlook Nursing Home, Pascoag. He was the Husband of Ellen M. (Simpson) Houle whom he married Oct. 4, 1947. Born in Pascoag he was the son of the late Amedee and Malvina (Secord) Houle.
Arthur worked in area Textile Mills before becoming a Postal Employee at the Pascoag Post Office. He was an ARMY Veteran of WWII. A member of VFW post #1023, member of Burrillville Twilight Golf League and a Coach & Umpire for the Burrillville Little League.
Besides his wife Ellen he is survived by three sons Arthur Joseph Houle Jr. and his wife Nancy, Barry Houle and David Houle and his wife Donna, all of Pascoag, two daughters, Joyce Hill of Nashville TN, and Janice Harriman and her husband David of Harrisville, fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Lindor and Albert Houle and Viola Boucher.
His funeral will be held Wednesday Jan. 11, 2012 at 9:30AM from the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave. Pascoag, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM in St. Joseph’s Church, Pascoag. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Pascoag. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to St. Joseph’s Church 183 Sayles Ave. Pascoag, RI 02859.
