WOONSOCKET - Pauline L (Marchand) Allard, 72, of Ray Ave. died Friday January 13, 2012, in Landmark Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of Edgar D. Allard.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Paul E. and Germaine (Leferriere) Marchand. She was a lifelong resident of Woonsocket.
She worked as a Secretary for the Education Department of Landmark Medical Center for several years.
Pauline was the founder of Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, Rhode Island Chapter.
She also was on the Prayer Ministry of St. Joseph Church.
Besides her husband Edgar, she is survived by one son Michael E. Allard and his fiance Wendy Daniels of Atlanta, Georgia. Three brothers, Paul Marchand of Florida, Normand Marchand of Cranston, R.I. Gerald Marchand of Bellingham, Mass. Two grandsons Jonathan and Trevor Allard.
She was also predeceased by her daughters Denise R. Allard and Danielle Elyse.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday January 19, 2012 at 9 A.M. from the S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 A.M. in St. Joseph Church Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are Wednesday from 5-8 P.M.
