MAPLEVILLE- Robert Ames, 57, of Zenon St., Mapleville, died Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Maynard L. and Catherine (Dwyer) Ames. He was a lifelong resident of Mapleville.
Mr. Ames plied his trade as a welder and was employed by Supreme Corporation in Harrisville and previously worked at Janell Truck Bodies.
Robert enjoyed fishing and playing in a pool league.
He is survived by two brothers, John Ames of Mapleville, Kenneth Ames of Chepachet, and a sister Mary Bolduc of Pascoag. He was the brother of the late James Ames and Nancy Tetreault.
Funeral services and burial will be private. Arrangements are by the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket.
