WOONSOCKET- Andre J. Soucy 59, of Logee St., died peacefully Saturday surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Colleen Soucy. He was born in Providence, a son of Lucille (Desaulniers) Soucy, and the late Rodrique Soucy.
Mr. Soucy was a machine operator for Wood Engineering and Rochambeau Mills before retiring in 2000 due to illness. He enjoyed cooking and gardening and was a 1971 graduate of Mt. St. Charles Academy.
Besides his mother, he is survived by a step-daughter; Jillian Unwin of Woonsocket, two grandchildren; Jarrek and Caden Unwin, a brother David Soucy of Woonsocket, and four sisters; Francoise Cecconi, Michelle Gauvin, and Diane Colerick, all of Woonsocket, and Danielle Peloquin of Burrillville.
His funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 in Holy Family Church. Visitation will be from 9-10:30 AM prior to the funeral. Burial will be private.
