NORTH SMITHFIELD- Genevieve B. (Terceiro) Trudel, 92, a lifelong No. Smithfield resident, died peacefully surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Bertrand L. Trudel.
Born in No. Smithfield, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alexandrina (Cadima) Terceiro.
Mrs. Trudel worked twenty-two years at the former Amperex Electronics/Phillips Corp, retiring in 1982. She was a Communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church, Slatersville. She was a member of the No. Smithfield Senior Citizens, Colonial Village Association, was a charter auxillary member of the Leclair, Kozlik, Logan, Bassett VFW, Forestdale, an avid reader, Red Sox fan, enjoyed game shows, crossword puzzles and especially, time spent with her family.
She is survived by three sons, Alan D. Trudel and his wife Lynne of Forestdale, Wayne B. Trudel and his wife Jeannine of Bakersfield, VT, and Gary S. Trudel and his wife Joyce of Orange, MA, sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Joseph Terciero.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 10:30AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church St., Slatersville. Inurnment will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
