BLACKSTONE- Edward "Chico" Ciccone, 86, died Monday, February 6, in the Lydia Taft House, Uxbridge. His wife, Juliette (Robidoux) Ciccone, died in 1991.
He is survived by a half brother, Jimmie Ciccone, of Woonsocket, RI; two half sisters, Mary Ellen Mercure, of Blackstone, and Linda Orlando, of Woonsocket; a cousin, Thomas Ciccone, of Whitinsville, and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Ciccone was born in Boston, May 21, 1925, the son of Louis and Hilda (Hiltz) Ciccone, and lived in Blackstone until moving to Uxbridge in 2009.
He was a machinist at the former Whitin Machine Works for many years, and, a talented musician who played several instruments, he had his own band for many years also.
A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Ciccone was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He also belonged to the American Legion and the DAV.
Mr. Ciccone's Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, February 9, in the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill Street, Whitinsville, to be preceded by a Calling Hour from 9-10 AM. Burial will follow in Saint Paul's Cemetery, in Blackstone.
